Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

Power is an evil unless it is used appropriately. It may affect someone, who possesses absolute authority and controls others. It may corrupt someone’s mind. The people who possess it may become fearless. Usually, the fear of accountability vanishes from their mind. They forget the fact that every rise has a fall. Power does not always remain intact. It passes from one person to another with time.

       Adolf Hitler was a hero for many people. He was very intelligent. Absolute power polluted his mind. His cruelty superseded his intelligence. This resulted in genocide of six million Jews. History will never forget the massive killing of humanity.

       It is becoming a tradition in our country that whoever possesses power, starts using it for one’s own benefit. Pakistan has been unfortunate in this regard. Most of the rulers have disappointed the masses. They were given power to serve them, but unfortunately used it for their own advantage. Consequently, the economy is on the verge of collapse. The rulers have become rich. While, public is striving to get basic needs. Now, it seems that the concerned authorities have started doing their job. An anticorruption move has started in the country which is a welcome breath of fresh air.
